Lewis Hine contributed to US child labor law reform by using his camera as a tool to document dangerous working conditions children faced. Hine’s unexaggerated style of photography, coupled with the sheer number of photographs captured the ugly truth of child labor. Through his work, Hine took a stand against employers and fought for child labor reform.
